She started off as a veterinary assistant at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Norwalk, CT prior to starting her undergraduate studies. She then worked as a veterinary technician in emergency medicine and a general practice setting for several years.
She graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008 with a Bachelor Science. She majored in Animal Science with a pre-veterinary focus. In 2020, she attended the Royal Veterinary College located in London, where she earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (equivalent to DVM) in 2015. During her veterinary training, she completed four weeks of extramural studies in a small animal/exotics clinic called CJ Hall Vets, located in London, U.K. It was here that she discovered her interest in exotics.
She completed a one-year rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship in July 2018 at the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of Norwalk, CT and VCA Shoreline of Shelton, CT.
