Dr. Louisa Martin
Dr. Louisa Martin attended the University of Wales, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Zoology in 1999. She went on to attend the Royal Veterinary College, in London, England, where she was awarded her Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
During her time as an undergraduate, Dr Martin volunteered at a Thai Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and worked as a zoo keeper in England. Her education also included an externship at the London Zoo and an internship at the International Centre for Gibbon Studies in California. Dr Martin continues to volunteer with local animal charities in the Connecticut area and helped provide veterinary care in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, skiing and spending time with her husband and animals, namely her four cats. Bubble, Malcolm, Zeus, Coco; and her dog, Chico.
